We are proud to be a part of the 8th Street Underpass Enhancement Project for the City of Calgary. While this innovative design posed a challenge with multiple twists and turns, National Neon along with our digital display division Direct LED rose to the occasion, providing a quality product that was both flexible and stable for the harsh Calgary climate. Working along side PCL Construction, this project was a great success.
We're really excited to share some of the recent work we did for the newest Phil & Sebastian's cafe in Mission.
The look they were going for had a bit of a retro feel, but we wanted to find a way of achieving a neon look without sacrificing durability. The result is an open channel letter sign with LED lighting inside of each letter. This achieved a really unique look and we're really happy with the result.
Be sure to check out the interior of the space designed by McKinley Burkart. The focal point of the space is a hand-blown neon sign above the espresso bar. It's the kind of sign that we used to do when we started the sign shop over 50 years ago. Amazingly, not a ton has really changed in the way these kinds of signs are made.
